Multi-instrumentalist-producer Chico Mann has created a musical time machine that simultaneously fuses the sounds of 1970s Afrobeat, 1980s Freestyle and Afro-Cuban music in a hybrid beast of culture and tone that has become the big ‘what if’ these styles converged and hit the mainstream. Picking up where Stevie B, TKA, George Lamond, Sa-Fire, Information Society, Noel, Cult Jam, and Exposé left off, Chico Mann ‘s unique conversation of color and value pays homage to the past while raising the bar for the future.
